Welcome home!

01-09-2022

We had a big party the last day at school. African day: everyone in beautiful traditional clothing, good food, Ghanaian beats and a dance competition.

We also made it a lot of fun in the house last week, movie night every evening and talented kids.

The last week we have also been busy preparing all orders that have been ordered. Thank you all so much for this! I will miss the kids in the house so much, but I am also happy when I see how they can now sew independently with the sewing machine.

Apparently my last week in Ghana was not the last week after all! The KLM flight was cancelled. I was quite homesick. But KLM didn't think it was enough, they made me wait another week. KLM caused the necessary confusion about the return flight. They put me in a super luxury hotel, but I was not allowed to return with the empty business chair...

In this week I got to know the people of the FAFA foundation, comparable to The Dreams In Africa. They were in the same situation. This cannot be a coincidence, it should have been the case. They have a lot of practical experience, are willing to help me and can use some help themselves. A interesting collaboration for the future.
